Project Gutenberg

May 21, 2013

This weeks Classics Resource is Project Gutenberg which Michael Hart began in 1971.

The site has been developed by a number of volunteers and now hosts 42653 free e books that are out of copyright in the United States of America. If you want to find out more about the project there is a lot of information on the website

The site provides English translations of several ancient authors such as Aristotle, Plato and Plutarch. There are far too many authors to name. The documents are offered in several different formats so can be used on e reader devices, particularly useful if you want access to a text on the go. I hope you find this resource useful. Happy research and reading.
